The Project Accounting system tracks revenue and expenses associated with projects and grants across an unlimited number of years. You can eliminate entering your data twice, once in your accounting system and then again in spread sheets. In addition, you don't need a complicated numbering system in your General Ledger to manage your projects.
A general ledger account can have activity that is related to multiple projects or transactions that aren't associated with a project. The detailed information is stored in your Project Accounting system. You can view this information in summary, grouped by user defined classifications (I.E. Engineering, Construction, Legal, etc.) and at the individual transaction level. You can even drill down to the original source transaction (I.E. invoice).
For your large projects you can create a master project with an unlimited number of sub-projects.
The Project Accounting system is interfaced with the Purchase Orders, Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Ledger and Receipt Management systems.
