Budget Preparation

Included with the Summit General Ledger module is a powerful set of Budget Automation tools that allow you three basic approaches for your budget preparation. You can easily extract desired data into Excel to prepare and report your budget. Once you have entered the desired information, you can import the new budget back into Summit.

Your staff can write their requested budget on a customized Work Sheet Report to be used to enter in Summit’s Budget Entry Table Window. Summit’s table view entry system displays the accounts in the same custom order as the worksheets making it easy to enter each amount without having to enter the account numbers.

Alternatively you can use a set of budget preparation tools within Summit, each of which allows different ways to calculate a budget for a specific group of accounts. You can also budget individual items which make up the budget for an individual account. You can print budget notes as well as items on budget reports explaining the budget figures.

For states that have an import capability, Summit has the capability to import directly into your State budget report. For states that do not have an import capability, Summit can generate a report that parallels your state budget report.
